Great Wolf Lodge

For Bailee's birthday we surprised her by checking her out of school and taking her to Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, TX near Dallas. It is a themed resort hotel with an indoor water park and very family friendly. She had no idea where we were taking her and we wouldn't give and hints. As we got closer, we told her we were going to the Bass Pro Shop (that is near it). She was visibly disapppointed. That wasn't what she would like to do for her birthday. (Especially since we go to the Bass Pro Shop at home about as frequently as we do Walmart!) Even when we pulled up to the hotel, I still think she thought it was a Bass Pro. Nothing was registering. When you walk into the lobby there is a wall of windows that you can see the whole water park. Billy took them to see it while I checked in. Kassi asked her Daddy, "Next time can we maybe come here and go swimming?" They still didn't believe that we were staying. When I told them we were going to sleep here and go swimming, they squealed with delight and were so excited! Bailee is convinced that this was going to be the best birthday ever! It sure was fun.

So glad you guys went! Our kids love it there. This last time they got to do the Magi Quest and still talk about it all the time. Going during the week is the best- no lines for the slides and no crowds! Looks like you had a great time!

Oh, it was great to go during the week. Perfect! No crowds at all. Call in your reservation next time. They have a NICE military discount.
