Sunken Treasure Boat Sold!

Okay, so back in April Billy found this Crappie boat (I know this is word looks like "crappy" but it's a fish said "craw-pee"-- a Southern thing.) This boat was in the lake by our house sunk with only the motor sticking out at some old guy's dock at his house. Come to find out it had been sunk for about two years! So, Billy (the I can fix that up guy) goes to the house and offers to buy the boat for a few $$$ and gets the boat out of the lake. He brings this yucky, stinky, thing home. Remember it has been underwater for 2 years. It is covered with algea, catfish and crawfish are living in the front end of it in the compartments full of mud. When he brought it home the next day he found a couple catfish and crawfish still in it! I never in a million years thought he could clean it up good enough to sell, but he did. It was amazing! He got that boat looking new. He did a great job and worked very hard on it. That's my man. We put it out for sale on Monday and sold it Saturday. Not too shabby! Way to go honey.

Fashion Show

My friend Cindy called me last week and told me about this Fashion Show that was going on at the BX, (The base's department store.) She was trying to get her daughter to do it and thought she would have some luck if my girls were in it too. Bai and Kassi were sooo excited when I asked them if they wanted to do it. They could not wait. They practiced their cat walk struts all week long after watching the Miss Universe pagent for some pointers. They got to pick any two outfits they wanted. Saturday came, the big day. They could hardly wait to get there and were too excited to wear some mascara. It was fun for me too. Billy was teasing me calling me a "pagent mom", but we all had a good time. The show ended up being a little unorganized and not what I expected, but the girls had so much fun. They didn't notice or care. As you can see they had a blast.

Chuck E. Cheese

I woke up this morning and remembered the kids were invited to a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese today. I debated going for a minute, but then figured hey, someone else is paying for it so might as well. The girls love going there and I never end up taking them. So we got ready real fast and stopped at Target quickly for a present and off to to Chuck E. Cheese. I brought my camera (because now days I look for things to blog about since I never get around to scrapbooking) and of course my batteries are dead. Bummer! But we did end up with these pictures from the Chuck E. photo drawing booth. Afterwards we hung out at Books-A-Million for a bit looking at all the books and then popped into Old Navy to look around. By this time Kassi seems to think she is going to die of thirst and Bailee is hungry (She must be growing because she is hungry all the time.)and it is almost two, so we grab some McDs on the way home because they really think they need to collect all the Littlest Pet Shop prizes and I'm a pushover. (We have chicken nuggets at home.)Oh, well. It was a fun day with the girls.

Princess Camp

Kassi went to Princess camp this week. Monday she was Sleeping Beauty, Tuesday she was Tinkerbell, and today she was Snow White. She had so much fun and did really good today on her princess dance. Daddy even came to watch her. She was blowing him kisses and waving at him during her dance. She went with her friend Evan and her friend Maggie was there too. She's our sweet princesss. Bailee is going to soccer camp at the end of the month and is excited about that. Other than that we are just trying to stay cool in the southern heat. I told the kids if they cleaned their rooms really good we would go swimming tomorrow. They did so I need to hold up my end of the bargin. Fun times!

4TH OF JULY

We had a long extended 4th of July weeked, but had a good time with friends and family. Bailee swam and swam in her Nana's pool for hours. We couldn't get her out. She was a wrinkly old raisin when she got out instead of the beautiful mermaid when she went in. She is getting pretty good at her swimming. Check out the fun we had.

Pretty Princesses

My other neighbor across the street took this pic of Kassi and Evan the other night. I thought it was cute so had to share. These two are going to Princess Camp for three days next week together. Looks like they are ready!

Pinkalicious

Yea! Another post. I'm trying to catch up from everything that happened last week. Kassi went to Pinkalicious Dance Camp last Saturday and her friend Maggie from her dance class and soccer team was there too. Pinkalicious is a book where this little diva dancer princess girl loves everything pink and she gets into trouble because she keeps eating all the pink cupcakes and inevitably turns pink. The only way she can turn back is to be nice, good, and eat her green vegetables. Right up Kassi's alley.

Vacation Bible School

Okay, so the I sent the girls to Vacation Bible School last week at the Methodist Church where Kassi goes to preschool. Now, growing up in Mormon country, bible school is completely foreign to me. My neighbor, Melissa (who also just happens to be LDS) told me that her daughter, Evan (who is Kassi's best friend) was going to go as part of daycare. So I thought what the heck. It's free and it will give them something to do. Kassi got be with Evan and her friend Emma from preschool and Bailee got to be her best friend, Dana and a few friends from school. They had so much fun and came home singing all these jazzed up Christian songs. Bailee was really getting into it. She loves music. Billy even remembered some of the songs from when he was a little boy and went to bible school. So that was kind of neat.
