We have a Winner!!!

Today, Bailee was in the American Heritage Poetry Contest at her school. She had to recite a poem reflecting American Heritage. Today, she competed against the entire 2nd grade of her school. They picked four out of the second grade to compete next Friday at a school wide level. She was chosen as one of the four for the entire second grade! Then, I believe four or five from the entire school will compete in a school district level next month. We are so proud of her. I'm busting at the seams. She did a great job and was so excited to get a trophy. Way to go Bailee! Yay!!

The Diva is Ready!

I told Kass to get ready to go to the store and then we would go eat lunch with Bailee at her school. This is the outfit she came up with. Very snazzy! Not to mention her shirt says My Mom Rocks! (Of course, she does.) Eat your heart out girls. :-) Oh! What am I going to do when this child is a teenager? I think the poor girl will just die next year when she goes to kindergarten and has to wear uniforms. The ultimate injustice for any fashionista diva.

Ready for Mardi Gras

I picked up the girls new masks for this year's Mardi Gras. We haven't done too much yet. I haven't even bought a king cake yet! But, we are planning on going to the Krewe of Centaur parade again. This year it is on Valentine's Day, so it should be fun. Be looking for more Mardi Gras pics in a couple weeks.

Watch Day

I'm a little slow putting these up. But the first lesson of every month is watch day for the girls.

Kassi at dance. She LOVES it. This particular day she had to wear her new Barbie Island Princess dress to class

Bailee has been taking Cheernastics(Cheerleading and tumbling). She has enjoyed it,but as fickle as kids are when she brought home an after school drama club program sign up. Cheernastics was out and now drama is in. Today she brought home her report card and has all As. She is such a smarty. Morgan also got her grades and got all As and Bs. We are proud of these kids for working hard.

SNL Parrot

I had to put this on here for Morgan. It is one of our favorite SNL skits. When we saw it, we were laughing so hard I think we were about ready to pee our pants and it got even funnier the more we talked about it and tried to imitate it. Can you still do the Parrot Morgan? This just brings back good memories. Enjoy!

Reconnected!

We've had an exciting two days! We've been reconnected with our daughter, Morgan! (Billy's oldest from his first marriage) We couldn't be happier. We haven't seen her in sooo long! She has broken free from her mother's grasp and influence and has saught out to re-establish and strengthen a relationship with us. Let me tell you it has been great. We have been talking to her and chatting with her online. Billy and I were practically fighting over the keyboard because we were so excited to chat with her tonight. We are so proud of her as she has taken on very adult responsibilities working at her job and getting her stuff together to graduate and determine a college basically all on her own. We just want her to know that we love her very, very much and are here for her anyway we can be. We love you Moo Moo!!! (When Bailee was little she couldn't say Morgan, so she called her Moo Moo and it stuck.) :-) Hope I'm not embarrassing you Morgan, but that's what Moms do right? Here's some pics of our gorgeous baby girl! (I feel all proud and giddy like a new mom!)

That's our girl on the left in the black shirt.

I know you are looking for a blonde, but the cutie in blue with the dark hair is our girl!

Sorry Morg, you give me access to pics, you will end up on the blog! Hee Hee. Oh and a special shout out to Linc!

Hong Kong City

Since Billy and I were first married it has been our tradition to go out for Chinese New Year's Day. We have done this even if we have been apart and it was just Top Ramen or Egg rolls from the store. Somehow we have always eaten Chinese for New Year's Day. The girls really like this tradition, especially if we go to a Chinese buffet. They love picking out their own food. This year we went to Hong Kong City. Since we left Utah, we've had a hard time finding good Chinese. I really miss Tiny Spicy Chicken! They just don't have it down here.

Fondue Anyone?

We had our good friends and neighbors, the McConnells over for New Year's Eve. A couple weeks ago, Melissa and I bought fondue pots and had been planning on fondue for New Year's Eve. It was sooo good. We cooked steak and had Bernaise sauce, a pizza fondue with tortellini, bread, and cheese dippers, and chocloate fondue with marshmellows, cake, brownies, and bananas. MMMM...It was sooo yummy! Then we got a little crazy with the Wii Fit to work off all that we ate. It was a fun night.

Billy starting some steak fondue and humoring me with a cheesy smile because I'm gathering blogging material!

5-4-3-2-1 HAPPY NEW YEAR!

The girls made it to midnight and were so excited to blow their horns, bang pots, watch fireworks/firecrackers, and yell "HAPPY NEW YEAR!" Poor Dooder was going crazy barking and running around the house becuase of all the noise from the fireworks/firecrackers. I thinking he was about to have a nervous breakdown.

A Toast to Friends

After pot banging, horn blowing and shouting "Happy New Year" the girls came in for their special drink of sparkling red grape juice in their fancy glasses for a New Year's toast. To friends! Cheers!
