Afternoon at the ER
Well, now that spring break is over and the girls are back in school, I have some time to catch up on my posts! Sorry for being such a slacker! This past Wednesday, Bailee was playing the Wii and playing tennis. As she was swinging (or practicing her backhand...who knows?), Kassi happened to walk by and was accidently smacked with the controller and it split her eyebrow open in a perfect X. After all the crying and had a washcloth holding with pressure on her eyebrow, I thought maybe I could fix it with some butterfly bandages. But, coming back from the store with the bandages I started thinking about she's a girl and the last thing she would want is a scar on her face! So, I decided to take her to the ER...she probably needed stitches. Of course when we walk in, the place is CROWDED! UGH! Four hours later we finally got in to see a doctor. We were in and out in 15 minutes...what frustration. Anyway, no stitches. They glued it together with DermaBond. Kassi was good and was very still while the doctor glued it together. As he pushed the cut together some blood seeped into the glue, so it is really noticable, but it will all be healed soon and go away. Not exactly the best way to spend a day of vacation, but we went to Build-A-Bear Workshop the day before and got a new furry friend and after the ER we went for ice cream at Cold Stone. YUM! I guess the ice cream was worth the long wait at the hospital!

Poor thing, another ouchie??
Oh my goodness! Seems like stitches or accidents like that always happen on vacation or a weekend. All my stitches incidents were on Sundays.
