Bassmaster Classic 2009

Here's our pics from the Classic. The first pictures are from different news guys taken from Billy's boat. We had a great time and met lots of pros. I'm sure it is memories that Billy won't forget for a long time. You may see some "your text here" on some of the pictures. I was sick of the computer and it was taking so long to remove them, so I just left it in. Hope ya'll enjoy it anyway.

Billy on the news

Billy took out a local news reporter yesterday and was on the news this morning! You can see the broadcast by clicking HERE!
We have more pics, but I don't have time to put them up now. Stay tuned for more to come!

A visit from the Tooth Fairy

Kassi had a permanent tooth come through, but behind her baby teeth! Shark teeth! Surprisingly her baby teeth were not a bit loose. So, we had to make a trip to the dentist and he took TWO teeth out to make room for her big girl teeth! My goodness for not having lost a tooth before she sure kicked it off with a bang. I was very proud of her at the dentist. She was very good and didn't even cry. What a big girl! I still feel bad for my poor baby though...no fun to have teeth pulled.

The great thing about losing teeth is the TOOTH FAIRY. Here's our girl. She got $3.00! WOW! The tooth fairy must have felt sorry that the dentist had to help.;-) But, that's a bargain 'cause Kassi thought the tooth fairy was going to bring a hundred million dollars. Whew!

Mardi Gras Parade

Yesterday I took the girls to the Krewe of Centaur Mardi Gras Parade. We met up with a bunch of friends and people from church and tailgated all afternoon. We had a blast! Billy had a fishing tournament and he made it back to town just as the floats were getting to us, but it was so packed there was no way he could have found us. So, he didn't make it this year. :-( Rats! But, we did have a good time.

We got these fun crazy hats and played all afternoon.

Being crazy waiting for the floats to get to us.

My awesome girls with some of their loot. If you can believe it, they ended up with about five times what you see here. One fairy/angel/cow? on a float motioned me holding Kassi up to a float and she put a special tiara on Kassi's head. She was sooo excited! Perfect for a Diva! I also caught a large string of beads with a humongous heart on it for Bailee. We had a great time and definately were pooped by the time we got home. It was a lot of fun.

Leo Marquez Award

Here's my handsome hubby with his medal for the Air Force Leo Marquez Award for SNCO (senior non-commissioned officer)Munitions category. The award, named in honor of retired Air Force Lt. Gen. Leo Marquez, recognizes maintenance operations in the categories of Aircraft, Munitions/Missile and Communications-Electronics Maintenance. The award is presented to maintainers who have demonstrated the highest degree of sustained job performance, job efficiency and results, job knowledge, and direct sortie generation involvement.
Billy won for his group and then was a nominee up for the whole wing. I am so proud of him and he's not bad lookin' either. :-) If you look in the background you can see the 2 dozen roses he surprised me with for Valentine's Day! Awww, I know...total brownie points. He is gone all day today...yeah, fishing tournament, so cross your fingers and hope he brings in some $$$! He is also really excited for the BassMaster Classic that is here on the Red River next week. (This is the Super Bowl of Bass fishing.) He and his boat will be a camera boat for ESPN coverage. We were also at Academy Sports last night and got Boyd Duckett's autograph and a picture with the girls (on Billy's phone). Boyd won the Classic 2 years ago. Of course, I had no idea who he was, but Billy sure did! We're busy and having fun...going to the Big Mardi Gras parade today, so I'll post pics tomorrow.

Bailee's New Haircut

Bailee has been begging to cut her hair for a while now and I finally gave in. I didn't mind, but I hadn't cut her hair short before, we had only gone in for trims. But it turned out really cute and sassy. She looks so grown up with her new do. She told me, "Mom, sometimes a girl just needs a change." I can't argue with that. Aaaw, my Boobear is growing up. *sniff, sniff* She sure is a cutie. Love her to pieces!

In a Box.

Yesterday after church, the girls went outside to fly their kites again. It was such a nice warm day, I had the kitchen window open. I could hear hear them talking and playing. I looked out the window to see what they were doing and this is what I found. We got a new water heater a few weeks ago and they drug the box out in to the yard. It was so cute to watch them play in it. Who knows what kind of adventures they were having in that box! I grabbed my camera and zoomed in from the window. They had no idea I was watching them and taking pictures. Sooo cute! I love these girls!
