Finalists!!! Wilson Girls Rock!

Billy and I were SUPER PROUD parents yesterday. BOTH Bailee and Kassidy are finalists for their grade level in the American Heritage Poetry Contest. For the contest they had to recite a patriotic poem. Kassidy was one of six chosen out of 25 Kindergarten participants and Bailee was one of four chosen out of 28 3rd grade participants. They compete again next week as the school will chose one winner for each grade to represent their school in the School District level contest. Of course I'm not biased (wink, wink), but I think they have a pretty good chance. We will practice hard, pray for the best and see what happens. :-) In any case, we are SO very proud of both of them. They did a great job!

Whoville Day!

Again, I apologize for beeing such a big slacker on keeping up with the blog. I've been really busy with school and subbing, plus it being Christmas...ya'll know how it is. Anyway,Friday the girls were to dress up as a character from "How the Grinch stole Christmas". Kassi was Cindy Lou Who and Bailee was Max, the Grinch's dog. They had so much fun and there were lots of cute Whos at school.

Kassidy's 6th Birthday

Our little Kassi turned six on the 7th! I can't believe how quickly the years have gone. She is crazy about penguins, so I made her a penguin cake. It turned out so cute and she LOVED it! I love this little stinker so much. She is such a blessing to our family.

ICE! at the Gaylord Texan

On our way home from Ft. Worth for Thanksgiving, we stopped in at the Gaylord Texan Hotel in Grapevine (by Dallas). WE took the kids to the ICE! display. This hotel is amazing and really goes all out on the Christmas Decor. It's beautiful. The Ice! display this year was "How the Grinch stole Christmas". EVERYTHING was carved out of ice and it is kept at 9 degrees. They give you parkas when you enter the exhibit. They even have 4 ice slides and they were pretty fun. After we made it through Whoville, they had a beautiful Nativity ice sculpture as well. It was a lot of fun. Hopefully we can go next year.

TWILIGHT ~ NEW MOON!!!

My girlfriends and I went to the opening of NEW MOON. We went out to dinner and then early to the theater. We were first in line for our time slot. YAY! Best seats in the house. It was fun with all of us sporting our Vampire/Team Edward shirts. Although Team Jacob would have been all right too! He was sure a little hottie in the movie. The movie was good and we had a great time!

Catch up!

Sorry everyone. I'm a super slacker when it comes to blogging. I've been SUPER DUPER busy! I'm still doing transcription, subbing at school a lot, room mom for both Bailee and Kassi and on PTO board (what was I thinking) and going to school. My days are pretty full of all that and all the day to day mommy and wife stuff that has to be done. We've had a great fall and are looking forward to upcoming holidays. Hope I can hang in there. We're all doing great! I've been a little better updating on Facebook, so you can follow me there too. I'll try to be a little better blogger. I hope!

Legacy Light Night

Since the school's Halloween festivities had to be postponed because of the tornado, we had it the Monday after Halloween. I'm room mom for both Bailee and Kassi's class. So, I was busy on two class pumpkin displays. Bailee's class was Wizard of Oz. Her real teacher is out on maternity leave, so she has a long term sub. Her teach was portrayed at Dorothy and the Sub was the Wicked Witch of the West. The students were flying monkeys. It was really cute!. I made Dorothy, Toto, and the Witch and helped the kids make their monkeys. It was a lot of work, but it paid off. Bailee's class one for the whole Third Grade! Yay.
