No more rain please!

It rain almost the whole month of October. The pictures are of just one day, but this happened fequently all month. Then right before Halloween we had a tornado come through about 3 miles from where we live that tore up everything pretty good. We are very blessed and lucky we didn't have any damage. Now, a hurricane is coming! Hopefully the storms will be mild. Never a dull moment around here.

Bailee's first Bass

 
Bailee went fishing with Billy Saturday and caught her first largemouth bass. She was very excited!

Braggin' on a Bear

We are so proud of Kassidy! She was chosen as the "Braggin' on a Bear" or student of the week for her class. She was the first one for this school year. She was sooo excited and couldn't believe she was picked. She got to bring home "Chewy the Kinderdog" for the weekend. She took Chewy everywhere to play and even to a sleepover at Evan's. We had to make a poster so, she could tell the class all about herself and also a journal page about her weekend adventure with "Chewy". I'm so proud of her for being a good student and such a good girl at school. Love you Kassi Poo!

One day down...

 
Kassi made it through her first day of Kindergarten and had so much fun. She couldn't stop talking about it. Her only complaint was she got hot and sweaty on the bus ride home. Yeah, these poor kiddos look hot!

Kassidy's First Day of Kindergarten

It's official. I no longer have any kids at home. I can't believe it. Kassi was off to kindergarten today. I thought I would be more emotional about it because when Bailee went I came home and cried. Today I was just excited. Kassi was excited too. She was awake at 5:30 this morning ready to get going. I think she'll be just fine and won't miss me a bit (maybe). They have all day kindergarten here, so I hope she does okay. I think she will. She got her fancy bling-bling diva backpack and her stylish funky monkey lunch box and was off. I walked her to her class and she just went right in and found her desk and started playing with her jar of play doh the teacher had at all the desks. I think she was ready for me to go, but I was taking my time. She is my baby after all. They had a Tears & Cheers breakfast for the parents so, I went down to that and talked with some school staff and PTO (I'm trying to make contacts, so I'll be called to substitute.) Then, before I left I went down to her class to peek in one more time and she saw me in the window and waved and we blew a kiss to eachother. Precious! I just love this little girl to pieces, both my girls. I'm the luckiest mom in the world!

I can't believe school started today and Bailee is in 3rd grade! Wow! Where has the time gone? I just love this little sweetie. I am so proud of her. Kassi starts Kindergarten next week. That should be an event. Look for that post coming up soon.

Our Summer recap

I know, I know!! I've been the biggest blog slacker over the summer, but I've posted quick recaps below starting with our most recent events. The summer went by too fast. Hope everyone is doing well and I promise to be a better blogger in the future!

Before and after. We finally got the living room done (minus carpet for now, but it turned out great. It took some time and a lot of work. The walls were all old wood paneling and Billy put up new drywall, crown moulding. My inlaws came and helped us paint the ceiling. The center beam used to be blue. New ceiling fan. New French patio doors. The fireplace used to be exposed brick and Billy covered part of it with drywall and then we had the surround and in front of the patio doors tiled in slate. I painted the built-in bookcase and mantle. Whew! Now to save for the next project.
 
 
 
 

Bailee auditioned for the Missoula Children's Theater camp and made it! All participants attend camp on Monday and if they make the audition they get to attend the rest of the week and put on a play the end of the week. The play this year was The Pied Piper. Her age group was the townskids. She had a blast and I was impressed. They put together a pretty good show in just a week. We were very proud of her.
