Grease is the Word!

Bailee's drama class was invited to be apart of the high school's spring production of Grease. They got to be apart of the bonfire/ pep rally scene and the graduation carnival. They did a super great job! (I think even better than some of the high-schoolers.) She had a blast and it was cute to watch. Proud of our little actress!

Another Finalist for the Wilson's!

So proud of Kassidy! She was also chosen as a finalist for the American Heritage Poetry contest for her grade. It was a long road. Poor kidd had to go last. About half way through another girl did the same poem as Kassi was going to do and she started to have a breakdown. But after a few encouraging words from momma and the principal, she dried up and put on her show. She did great! Proud of both my girls! Now to get ready for the school poetry finals to see who goes to the parish contest.

100th Day of School

Kassidy is celebrating the 100th day of school in 1st grade. They were asked to make a t-shirt with 100 items to celebrate the day. They are also having a t-shirt contest. There will be one winner in each class and one overall winner for the whole 1st grade...no pressure here on Momma at all. Of course, Diva Darling picked 100 rhinestones for her shirt. Yes, there really is 100 on there. I glued on each one! I found some iron on transfers where you could print your own picture and wrote on the shirt with puff fabric paint "I survived...of School." In the picture Kassi has a paper she colored with 100 Days on it and had her lay on the floor with crazy hair and looking stressed out. Then I added some school clip art around her. I think it turned out pretty cute and just her style. Have a fun 100th day of school!

Oh, and just to brag....both girls made the all A honor roll and top AR reading honors! I'm so proud of these smarty pants girls. I am so lucky!

We're still here!

Hello! Yes, I know I've been the absolute worst blogger for what....6 months? I truly apologize for being such a slacker in the blog department. Anyway, we've been extremely busy since my last posting. I've been busy with school to become a certified teacher and I also have been substituting at the girls' school ALOT. way more than I expected to be, but it's great. I love it. This summer the girls and I took a road trip to visit my family in Idaho. Yes! I drove all by myself from Lousiana to Idaho. It was a great trip and we had lots of fun. We also just recently sold our house and moved into an apartment just before Thankgiving. The sale was a nightmare, but with that behind us we had a nice little Christmas in our little apartment. We had a fun little visitor this season. An Elf on the Shelf named Pip that was a quite the little prankster and fun to have around. We celebrated the New Year with our good friends and old neighbors, The McConnells. We had our traditional fondue dinner and shot off fireworks....and we caught their yard on fire...OOPS! But we had a great time. Now, we are having unusually freezing weather with ice and snow. I guess someone figured I was missing Idaho. But we are surviving. Now, just looking forward to the upcoming Mardi Gras activities within the next month. Billy will be retiring this spring and then we are off on a new phase of our life. And that's the abridged version of the last 6 months! I'll try to do better at keeping you informed. I do much better with facebook since it is right on my phone, but I'll work on being a better blogger. Take care. Love you all!
